Amanda Turner, LPCC, NCC
Hi, I’m Amanda! My days are currently filled with raising two teenage boys, watching them play sports, spending time with friends, and navigating a commuter marriage between Ohio and South Carolina. I started my career over 14 years ago as a social worker before going back to graduate school to pursue counseling. During those years, I worked as a Service Coordinator for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a Homefinder for a local foster care agency. I believe this background has allowed me to see my clients through a wider lens, looking beyond just their current symptoms, to help connect them to their environment and needed resources in their community.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I am licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) by the South Carolina Board for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Addiction Counselors.
I have completed DBT Intensive Training through Treatment Implementation Collaborative, Intensive DBT Therapy Prolonged Exposure Protocol for PTSD through Antioch University Seattle, Crisis Response Training through NOVA, and Trauma Focused-CBT Intensive Training through MUSC. I am also currently completing RO DBT Intensive Training and a certification course to become a Neuroscience Coach. Certificates available upon request.
It would be an honor to walk with you on your journey to healing.
